Some home project...
A certain friend of mine came to me pondering, HoMM3 are a world classic, and WoG is a huge leap for all known fans desperately wanting some issues fixed. Modding a game such as Heroes really isn't all that hard as you and I, deer reader, are lead to believe, not that I imply things like that are easy.
Long work, and loads of resources, not to mention time, are needed just to put in motion a project such as this, but nevertheless it begins. Private assembly of general staff is currently taking place, but any help from all of you veteran heroes would be of grate help as well form any fresh blood wanting to improve an ever popular way to eat up those spare hours.
The picture is mainly to symbolise our taste, since it is quite old, considering the mater that all real art will be done a lot more seriously.
All upcoming information can be found at the HoMM forum WoG section subjected "Project".
Be advised, this is just the initial preparatory phase and any real work is yet to be done.

Dividing up the Works
As promised, the map. The previously mentioned friend (the one drawing the map) is no content whit his work and is to be refered to as Angel.
And now, of to thurough explenatory descriptions..?
The world as is ?now? is shown above (click for high res.), hosting all of the further described.
Additionally as promised, ' will start whit the ever popular humans.
Divided by endless turmoil, as is apparently custom for humans, they are separated in to four grate fractions.
North, the tribes which are now the remains of a once mighty kingdom and know now only as the Nored, consist of true warriors who are proud as are pure, devoting their lives to streinght and honour. Lead by a single leader, a lord of sort, each tribe retains the culture and hierarchy inherit from their forefathers. All links to the flow of magic they receive from the few gifted sages, druids and shaman. Although a mage is occasionally found, but only amongst the ranks of the exiled, for the arcane arts are a forbidden path in ones life, as the worst of man's disasters are sprout of pure magic. Their home, recived by pact from the Dwarfs , lies around and above the Grate Gates, which mark the main entrance in to the Iron Forge.
West inhabits the industrial kingdom of Valeris which, whit ample resources, makes the most populated of the human fractions. Both hard working and thorough people, make them the richest as well. Almost any profession is organised in to a guild, this giving good grounds for their initial success. As for their overall disposition, they tend to make merchants of themselves seeking bounty in the world of trade, but knighthood is aspired by the adventures types, as by those seeking a life of servitude to their homeland. Amongst other thing they express the most ingenuity and skill, making them excellent engineers, as well as crafty users of magic expressed trough wizardry.
South are the fabled Heralds of Twilight of the Kingdoms of Endalla, knight champions pledging their lives to safeguard the Twilight Castle and all who dwell within its walls. Bearing the most sense in the abnormal, their culture and lives in general revolve around a complex hierarchy system topped by a council of mages lead by a sorcerer. People find sanctuary and peace inside the kingdom, for its laws demand certain perquisites for conduct by foreign authority. On the other hand being caught executing a crime, lets just say you'd better not be... Order, valor and virtue bears the creed of the kingdom.
And East harnesses the Safrim Empire, centered in a grate city, sprout in a harsh desert belonging to its more nomadic population. One of the first to have met the ancient ones. Beings of tales, and thought of fiction, until the grate sea was crossed, discovering a new land belonging to creatures not entirely human. Thus the most open minded of people tending to find merchandise in lands afar. Internal turmoil is of some concern for their emperor, being that the throne is considered only a blood rite, this causing dissatisfaction whit some generations of rulers. Due to the intense heat, most of their industries are light, and technology (mostly bought from the gnomes) steam based.
The grates flaw of them all is in the fact that they are human, and individuals tend to follow paths of their own, not regarding that which is presented by their homeland to the world.
(phew)
I guess, that is good enough for defining the main characteristics of them all. Perhaps a more table arranged form, whit strictly defined numbers, would be more to the point than this. . . Nahh. Not my stile.
Anyway.
Next one will certainly be a small brake from all the innovations.

(slice trough the topic) The World Scar
By request of my dear friend, the one drawing the map, I am to delay further descriptions regarding the world in whole. Also by his request, hi is to be referred to as "Lazy Bastard" in accordance to his amount of will power.
So...
Guess it's some worship'n time now.
I practically have a book brewing in the foamin', mist producin' gray mass i call a brain, thus I will only cover a single mythological event which, by chance, has grate relevance to the story in whole.
In the times when the world was reaching it's maturity, the human fractions where still youthful, inexperienced and possessed the hotheaded attitudes that nearly doomed them all.
The Northern tribes, consisting of man strong in body, pure in spirit and clear in mind, after decades of quarrel and petty wars whit the South Empire, lead by their King marched downwards to meet the Imperial army. Man of the south where of noble stature whit mind even sharper than their blades, darkened only by the black steel of their plate armor, where to ready for battle. Both sides blessed by their gods whit avatar guardians, this was to be the first, and hopefully the last "Clash of Titans". Soon after, on a predetermined battleground, the armies stood facing one another, in their ranks accompanied by children of gods. The gods themselves where where to battle, but on a different plane. The battle it self was cut short when the blade stood pointing from the Northern Gods chest, and as he fell, piercing the otherworldly plane, down on the earth in a blaze of frost, his body rendered the planet scarred. The sea in which he fell now held an abyss, ever swirling downwards reaching frightening deep. The war ended for good. South returned whit little feel of triumph, and north went even further up seeking sanctuary in the land of the dwarfs, for in their efforts both nearly tor the world apart. As for the remaining avatars, whit no god the lost their immortality, and over a millennium became more human and less divine.
That would be some awkward kind of a background story for the worlds scar.
My texts tend to hop around topics a lot due to the lack of space to write, and time to write in. But eventually all will come to place, it always does...

Spark of Creation
Like creators of all worlds, I to am a lazy bastard, this leading to me posting this so late...
A world created by pact of the 4 main elements. Earth deformed by Fire, giving allowance for Water to settle, and Air enveloping all. While the three cold bonded, and fused, the fourth one took up distance dimming exposure to its intense heat.
Life was now permitted, taking on many forms, shapes and sizes. Spreading rampantly it soon adapted, changed in many ways. Yet certain races remained untouched by the spirit of evolution, for they have been created by a different source. These creatures are the favoured of the elements, created by the same. There hearts all held feal of fire, water, earth or air, but none of more than one.
As time passed, creatures of all kind where to be found all over the world. Be it in the spirit of harmony, the benefits of mercantile, or haze of war. Borders where soon established, yet infirm and undefined, for war and death are inherit in existence.
That should about cover the, vary simple, main introduction.
Continuation, containing more detail descriptions plus a neat map, should be expected in not more then a day.
Apologies for my lack in quality, I was working on the go whit no turning back, and I promise to, at least, make quantity my strong point.

The Begining
To further detail my upcoming posts is the reason for this one.
First of all, for any hope of success, I am going to need a world to house the many, many subjects I'll be covering in the near future, so expect that to be my next post.
Shortly after the semi-illustrated world, life will be taking it's first steps in and explanation will be in order. Thinking of the usual starting point of any newcomer to the whole ordeal, so humans are probably first on the menu. Besides the ever popular pink skins, expect anything and everything I can get my filthy paws on.
Intrigued? No? Well give me a couple of days and come back, I'll have some juicy stuff ready by then.
Thanks for taking the time to read this announcement.
